Volunteering at St Joseph's

At St Joseph's, we have a team of volunteers, who help us in delivering an excellent education for our children in school. Volunteers may assist our existing staff in the delivery of sports coaching or listen to children read in class.

At St Joseph's safeguarding is paramount. Before beginning volunteering at St Joseph's, it is essential, that safeguarding training is undertaken. This is led by either Mrs Cunliffe or Mrs Wilkinson and will ensure that all adults in school are sufficiently trained to safeguard our children. Training will also ensure that volunteers are familiar with some of our safeguarding policies.

All volunteers must also have a a DBS form before they can work with children in school.
